Special Awards
Sign Up Open for 2011!

This year we will present several “Special Awards” at the 2012 Iowa Regional Future City Competition. Teams of judges will visit the models between 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM to talk to the students about their city design. One student per team must remain at the display during this time. Due to the number of teams that will be at the Regional each team will be eligible for only three Special Awards.

Peer Award, Best Essay Award and Environmental Vision Award are available to all teams  - your team(s) are automatically eligible for these awards).

Due to web issues, we are not able to accept on-line registrations on this site.  Please send an email to:  coordinator@futurecityiowa.org    Include the teacher's name and school, the team name, and the number below for each special award the team is interested in.  If your school has more than one team, they can all be included in the same email.  Again, you do not have to identify the Peer Award, Best Essay or Environmental Vision Award because all teams are eligible.

Please remember that even though we only allow you to Sign Up to be judged for three Special Awards, there are no restrictions at the National Competition.  So if you win the Iowa Regional Competition, you will be eligible for all of the Special Awards listed in the Teacher/Mentor Handbook, which will be judged at the National Competition.
