This year we will present several “Special Awards” at the 2010 Iowa Regional Future City Competition. Teams of judges will visit the models between 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM to talk to the students about their city design. One student per team must remain at the display during this time. Due to the number of teams that will be at the Regional each team will be eligible for only two Special Awards (not including the Environmental Vision Award, Peer Award and Best Essay Award--you are automatically eligible for these awards). Teams will not be eligible unless the form below is returned or submitted by Jan. 20, 2010. Individual teams will only be awarded one Special Award. (This does not include the Peer Award which all teams will be eligible to win.)
Please remember that even though we only allow you to SignUp to be judged for two Special Awards, there are no restrictions at the National Competition. So if you win, you will be eligible for all of the Special Awards listed in the Teacher/Mentor Handbook, which will be judged at the National Competition.
